Theresa M. Jaworski, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing
in Pediatric/Health Psychology. Dr. Jaworski completed her undergraduate
work at Ohio State University, received her masters and doctorate from the
University of Alabama at Birmingham, and completed her internship at the
Duke University Medical Center. She subsequently completed a post-doctoral
fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN specializing in
Child/Pediatric and Family Psychology. She presently assists with the
training/supervision of Fellows in Child Psychiatry at SUNY-Buffalo. Since
moving to Buffalo in 1995, Dr. Jaworski has been in private practice.
Dr. Jaworski's areas of specialization include assisting children and
adolescents in coping and complying with chronic medical conditions,
preparing children and adolescents for medical procedures, and working with
families where there is a family member with a medical condition and family
functioning is adversely affected by this. Dr. Jaworski also works with
family members including children who have lost a family member and has
experience with bereavement issues. Additionally, Dr. Jaworski works more
generally with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression,
parent-child conflicts, family issues, and behavior problems.
